Newly-appointed Sri Lankan ODI skipper, Kusal Perera, has said that the team needs to play fearless cricket if they want to win more matches. Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has announced an 18-member squad for a three-match ODI series against Bangladesh. The three matches of the series will be held on May 23, 25, and 28 in a bio-bubble. While Perera will captain the team, Kusal Mendis has been named as his deputy.

Sri Lanka thrashed Pakistan in the fifth game of the five match ODI series at Hambantota to restore some faith back. Batting first, with the help of blitzing hundred from Kusal Prera, Sri Lanka posted a mammoth total of 368 runs in 50 overs.

Sri Lanka chased down the target of 287 runs posted by Pakistan with 2 wickets in hand and 11 balls to go at Pallekele. Kusal Perera threatened Pakistan to finish the game very early but his dismissal brought a massive collapse in Sri Lankan batting order.

Virat Kohli and Dinesh Karthik scored superb centuries to help India overhaul a massive target of 334 in their warm-up match against Sri Lanka at Birmingham. Kohli scored 144 from 120 balls with 11 fours and 3 sixes to set up India’s run chase.

Sri Lanka led by Dinesh Chandimal defeated Bangladesh in the Only T20I between the two sides at Pallekele on Sunday evening.
